Top 5 Monkeys

I have not posted about this previously, but I love monkeys.

All my life I have wanted a pet monkey. I also collect toy monkeys (hint for cheap gift ideas).

And so, I present a list of my top 5 Monkeys

5. Pygmy Marmoset

Pygmy Marmosets are extremely cute little monkeys that only grow to about 16 centimeters excluding tail.

4. Proboscis Monkey

Its nose looks like a wang… c’mon…

3. Howler Monkey

These monkeys are incredibly social and very loud. Plus they live in groups of more females then males… yeah, they’re pimps…

2. Olive Baboon

Baboons are awesome, they live in groups of few males and many females so they also get their pimp on. They are also the spiritual advisers to Lions according to this documentary I saw called “The Lion King”

1. Spider Monkey

My number one pick is the spider monkey. Spider monkeys are the most intelligent of the New World Monkeys. They are large monkeys with long tails and live mid sized groups of 15 – 25, they then split into smaller groups during the day. This social structure is only shared by one other primate, the chimpanzee (which is excluded from this list because it is an ape).

  1. What about the monkey that has crazy sex when it see’s anything that sparks it’s curiousity? I can’t remember it’s name but it was on an episode of QI one day. I tried googling something to this effect but figured that typing “QI Sex Monkey” into a search engine at work was probably not the best idea.
